Steens Mountain Kiger Registry

As of November 1, 2006 The Steens Mountain Kiger Registry, also known as the SMKR, will no longer accept new horses to be double registered in the SMKR and in the following two registry's. 1) The Kiger Mestena Association; also know as the KMA and 2) Midwest Kiger Mustang Registry; also know as the MKMR. If you register your horse in the SMKR and then register in one of the above associations your horse will be removed from the SMKR with no notice given. The SMKR believes in the True Kiger Mustang and their offspring. There has been a difference in the Registry's for a long time and we believe it is time to set them apart. We do not believe in found horses. Half Kigers will still be accepted.
